AlphaStomp is an electrifying blues act, based in Burleigh Heads, Q. Delivering no holds barred, dirty blues, roots & stomp, combining the deep blues roots of Muddy Waters & Howlin' Wolf with the heat and power of Jimi Hendrix & Angus Young.
Drawing inspiration from the legendary musicians Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Jimi Hendrix, and Angus Young, AlphaStomp seamlessly blends the authentic blues roots with the fiery energy associated with rock. Led by Mark Anderson, a remarkable blues player with an undeniable knack for capturing the essence of the blues, AlphaStomp brings a distinctive and refreshing approach to their music..
Notably, AlphaStomp employs unique instruments like the Cigar Box Guitar, Open Tuned Guitars, and Slide Guitar to create an original twist to their music. This innovative approach sets them apart and ensures a captivating experience for their audiences.
The band's accomplishments and recognition continue to grow rapidly. In July 2018, AlphaStomp showcased their exceptional talent beyond Australian borders by gracing the stage in Vienna and Prague, leaving fans captivated by their mesmerizing performances.
AlphaStomp was featured at the Blues On Broadbeach Festival in 2019, receiving well-deserved attention as a standout artist at The Gulgong Folk & Blues Fest in the same year. Their talent has taken them back to the renowned Blues On Broadbeach festival in both 2021 and 2022. Moreover, AlphaStomp's international acclaim soared as they traveled overseas once again, performing at the highly acclaimed 2023 Suwalki Blues Festival in Poland.
